Expenses

The following expense types are available:

1. Living Expenses

Living Expenses is either a joint or per-person breakdown of general living expenses. It includes the amount paid for lodging, food consumed within the home, utilities paid and other expenses. This comprises the household’s total expenses that are required to sustain its basic lifestyle.

2. Rent Expenses

Rent Expenses is either a joint or per-person breakdown of general expenses paid to rent a property to live in.

3. Pension Contribution Expenses

This is the periodic contribution a person in the household makes to their pension or retirement savings, whether through a personal savings vehicle or through an employer pension plan or retirement savings plan. This does not cover the employer pension contribution. The latter is set up as an Employer Pension Contribution Income.

4. Portfolio Contribution Expenses

Portfolio Contribution Expenses are either a joint or per-person breakdown of expenses paid into various portfolios.

5. Insurance Premium Expenses

This is the insurance premium that can be defined for all supported insurance types. If an insurance premium is not defined, the system will calculate the premium for you.

6. Mortgage Expenses

This is the mortgage payment amount. If a mortgage payment is not defined, the system will calculate the payment for you.
