Assets

The Envizage API includes a list of API endpoints related to various types of assets.

Financial assets

A financial asset is a non-physical asset whose value is derived from a contractual claim, such as bank deposits, bonds, and stocks. The financial assets of a household is a combined measure of the assets of every member of the household.

A household may have numerous financial asset accounts, each owned by a person in the household, or jointly owned by two people in the household.

Financial assets are part of a portfolio and break it down further allowing it to be grouped by asset classes.

Financial portfolios

A portfolio is a combination of Portfolios such as stocks, bonds and cash. Portfolios may be held by individual investors or managed by financial professionals, hedge funds, banks and other financial institutions. A portfolio is designed according to the investor's risk tolerance, time frame and investment objectives. The monetary value of each asset may influence the risk/reward ratio of the portfolio.

A household may have numerous portfolios, each owned by a person in the household, or jointly owned by two people in the household.

Portfolio allocation

Each financial portfolio can be allocated to multiple risk profiles for a given time-frame.

Residential properties

A household may own one or more property assets. Each may be owned by any person in the household, or jointly by the household. Each may be a primary residence, a non-primary residence, or a rental property that earns income into the household. Each may have a mortgage applied to it, or may be owned outright with no financing on it.

Investment properties

A household may own one or more property assets. Each may be owned by any person in the household, or jointly by the household. An investment property may be a rental property that earns income into the household. Each may have a mortgage applied to it, or may be owned outright with no financing on it.

Furthermore a list of endpoints are used to obtain reference data related to the financial assets. These endpoints are documented under the "Reference" category.
